What is the Vehicular Underpass?
The Vehicular Underpass at the Fonatur Roundabout is an urban infrastructure project consisting of a 780-meter sunken roadway designed to improve traffic flow in one of the busiest areas of Los Cabos. Its construction will provide a faster and safer connection between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

Project Overview
The project includes a 780-meter underground roadway as part of a total 1.5 km intervention zone. It will feature a two-way bike lane, safe sidewalks, signalized pedestrian crossings, and an overpass bridge. In addition, more than 24,000 square meters of green space will be restored.
This project is the result of collaboration between the Federal Government (SICT) and the Municipal Government of Los Cabos, carried out under an urban modernization framework with a social vision.
